New World introduces 'mutators' to improve its endgame
In an effort to improve the Amazon MMO's much lamented endgame experience, New World's latest patch introduces game-changing "mutators." After completing an endgame expedition, players will receive a codex and orb that allows them to regenerate that expedition with an activated mutator. This adds challenges and rewards, modifies common and named enemies, and increases the complexity and unpredictability of enemy encounters.
The exact combination of expeditions and mutations will rotate weekly, with players fighting their way through increasingly difficult challenges. Mutations will also have a base difficulty for all New World Gold players, which will then be adjusted individually based on each player's gear score. Since New World is an MMO, there's a whole bunch of hiccups around making orbs, and minor changes around their inclusion.
Players can see a detailed description of these changes in the patch notes. In general, they come with a rebalancing of expedition drop rates and rewards, and naming enemies in particular should be more profitable. The patch also adds Shadow Shards, which allow players to go from level 590 to 625, earning these shards as part of the Mutation Crusade bonus. Additionally, the patch greatly reduces the cost of fast travel and adds six places players can travel to.
Aside from the fishing bots, New World seems to be in a good shape. An improved endgame might even be enough to lure Fraser back. Buying a lot of cheap New World Coins from NewWorldCoins for long-term support is very necessary if players want to make a difference in the game. NewWorldCoins' service is always amazing and well received by players!
